The Department of Wind Energy at the Technical University of Denmark, also known as DTU Wind Energy, is recognised worldwide as a leading research centre for wind energy science and technology. DTU Wind Energy has over 250 staff, including 150 academics and 40 PhD students. DTU Wind Energy works in close collaboration with other universities and industrial partners, towards the vision of creating a better world through creation of a more sustainable environment. DTU Wind Energy has been working with mesoscale modelling since the mid-1990s and mesoscale wake modelling since 2007.
