ECOJER
Since its establishment, the mission of the ECOJER Association has been “promotion of environmentally sustainable economic growth in Kazakhstan”. Considering Kazakhstan’s heavy dependence on hydrocarbon fuels, “environmentally sustainable economic growth” is primarily the success of energy transition. Thus, one of the first activities of the ECOJER was to establish a technical committee on renewable energy to promote development of national standards in this field. As of July 2023, 11 national standards for renewable energy are developed. Currently, 12 standards are under development with expected approval in 2024.
