NEXT Group

NEXT Group is a nonprofit, nonpartisan and independent think tank with a mission to transform Korea’s energy system to achieve net-zero emissions by 2050. We are consisting of experienced and dedicated researchers with expertise in power system economics, electricity market designs, renewable energy modelling and simulation, as well as industry sector decarbonization strategies.

We focus on four main areas of research: power sector reforms, renewable acceleration, industrial decarbonization and hydrogen. Using self-developed quantitative tools and modelling methodologies, we strive to provide innovative roadmaps and policy recommendations to decision makers of the government and industrial leaders in Korea for accelerating energy transition.
