About our training on Train the Trainer
Capacity building and cooperation are essential for advancing the energy transition in a sustainable and equitable way. Civil society organisations, research institutions and think tanks play pivotal roles by providing science-based evidence, proposing policy solutions and fostering inclusive dialogue. Effectively sharing knowledge, experiences and skills across the spectrum of energy transition actors is crucial for accelerating change, overcoming obstacles and finding innovative solutions.
With knowledge sharing now a central mission for most actors in this space, it is important for experts to develop skills in didactics and training design. This includes using interactive learning formats that go beyond merely presenting information. Interactive knowledge-sharing formats are highly effective in motivating participants leave with practical ideas, plans and actions. Incorporating dynamic, participatory and engaging formats helps to foster more impactful and empowering learning experiences.
The Train-the-Trainer programme focuses on a learner-centred approach, shifting the focus from the content to the learning outcomes and needs of the target group. This demand-driven approach improves the impact of knowledge-sharing and ensures that key messages and skills are effectively absorbed – important when engaging with policymakers and other stakeholders.
Drawing on our extensive experience, Agora will host a three-day programme to equip trainers with the tools, methods and best practice examples needed to design, implement and review their own knowledge-sharing and training formats. Upon completing the training, participants will be able to enhance knowledge-sharing efforts within their networks, using learning-focused tools to ensure successful workshops and trainings.

- Enhance instructional and facilitation skills using diverse tools and interactive activities to create dynamic and participatory learning environments that maximise learner engagement and retention.
