Fabian Huneke

Fabian Huneke works as Project Lead Energy Transition in the Power Sector on the transformation towards a climate-neutral electricity system in Germany. He started at Agora Energiewende in July 2023. Previously, he was in charge of energy policy consulting at Energy Brainpool.

Until joining Agora, Fabian Huneke worked as a consultant, study author and trainer. From 2019 to 2023, he led the project on the monitoring and further development of the direct marketing of renewable energies in Germany for the Federal Ministry of Economics and Climate Protection. He wrote more than 50 studies, reports and analyses, e.g. on the integration of renewable energies into the electricity market, on electricity market design, on sector coupling, and on the effects of the change in thermal power plant parks. Fabian Huneke has been conducting basic and specialised seminars on various energy industry issues since 2014, one example being the EEX certificate courses. He studied energy and process engineering as well as renewable energy systems at the Technical University of Berlin.
