Katharina Hartz
Project Officer Power
Katharina Hartz works as Project Officer Power at Agora Energiewende, focusing on the decarbonization of the electricity sector and electricity market design.
Before joining Agora Energiewende, she worked as a Research Assistant at the Center for Wind Power Drives at RWTH Aachen University. Her research explored how municipalities could optimally exploit their renewable energy potential. During an internship at Trianel GmbH, she gained experience in the planning of photovoltaic plants.
Katharina Hartz studied Mechanical Engineering BSc and Energy Engineering MSc in Aachen, Marseille, and Brussels, and investigated the long-term development of electricity prices in Europe as part of her master’s thesis.
