Mareike Herrndorff
Project Manager Power (on leave)
Mareike Herrndorff is a Project Manager – Electricity at Agora Energiewende. She is also a co-founder and chairwoman of the supervisory board of a citizens' energy cooperative which realises renewable energy projects.
Before joining Agora, Mareike spent nine years working as the managing director of Stadtwerke Barmstedt Xtra GmbH, where she was responsible for the company's energy division. In addition to this, she also managed the parent communal utility company's energy division. Mareike began her career in 2003 at the Stadtwerke Barmstedt, where she worked across its commercial divisions and became familiar with a wide range of market roles.
Mareike has a Master of Business Administration degree from Heriot-Watt University in Edinburgh, Scotland.
