Agus Tampubolon
Researcher at the Institute for Essential Services Reform in Jakarta, Indonesia, Institute for Essential Services Reform
Agus Tampubolon is responsible for research on energy efficiency, power systems, electric vehicles and energy transitions at the Institute for Essential Services Reform (IESR) in Jakarta, Indonesia.
Before joining IESR, Agus did his master’s degree in Energy Conversion and Management (ECM) at the Hochschule Offenburg, Germany. For his master thesis, Agus worked in a research institute in Offenburg, where he designed an optimal Combine Heat and Power (CHP) operation plan in line with the EPEX electricity price, electrical load profile, and heat demand using MATLAB linear programming.
He started his career with a multinational nickel company in 2012, where he held the position as an Assistant Project Engineer for three and a half years. Agus has participated in several trainings related to mining and project management and held the First Operational Supervisor (POP) certificate from the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources (MEMR) of Indonesia.
