Christine Juta

Christine Juta is a Zimbabwean Renewable Energy Engineer who works with the organisation Ruzivo Trust. Christine is passionate about curbing energy poverty in Sub-Saharan Africa. She is a fellow of the Friedrich Ebert Stiftung Zimbabwe Youth Leadership training and has presented papers at various regional and international platforms on STEM Education, Energy Access and Youth Inclusion. She is a STEM Ambassador for the African Union - International Center for Girls and Women Education and was part of the 2nd cohort of Enel Foundation Open Africa Power Fellowship, which provides high-profile African graduates with a holistic know-how of the electricity sector, enhancing the technical, regulatory and business skills required to work in the private and public sector towards the electrification of Africa.
During the EnerTracks Fellowship, Christine will research on the regulatory challenges for accelerating off-grid Electricity access in Sub-Saharan Africa.
Christine holds a B.Tech (hons) Electronic Engineering, a Certificate in Regulation for Universal Access to Energy from the Florence School of Regulation, and is pursuing her Master of Science in Renewable Energy Engineering with the University of Zimbabwe.
