Senior Renewable Energy Engineering Specialist at Regional Centre for Renewable Energy and Energy Efficiency in Cairo, Egypt, RECREEE
Eman Sadek is a Senior Sustainable Energy Engineering Specialist in the Sustainable Energy Policies and Technical Assistance Projects Unit at the Regional Center for Renewable Energy and Energy Efficiency (RCREEE), based in Cairo, Egypt. Eman is an Electrical Engineer and holds a MSc degree in Business (MBA) as a joint degree between Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona (UAB) and the Arab Academy for Science Technology and Maritime Transport (AASTMT) of Cairo, Egypt.
She previously worked in renewable energy, energy efficiency and environmental assessments in the Middle East & North Africa (MENA) Region and managed renewable energy and energy efficiency projects in cooperation with the League of Arab States, UNESCWA, UNEP, POLIMI, the World Bank, MEDENER, UNDP and GIZ. Furthermore, she contributes to country based renewable energy assessment projects in different countries as Iraq, Syria, Egypt, Lebanon, Algeria and Yemen, and energy efficiency assessment projects in Egypt, Jordan, Djibouti, Mauritania, Tunisia and Morocco.
During her stay at Agora Energiewende as an EnerTracks Fellow she will focus on a regional climate programme for the MENA region that focused mainly on the energy efficiency of the residential sector as well as promoting renewable energy strategies.
