Felipe Sgarbi works as an energy specialist at Instituto Acende Brasil in São Paulo, a think tank focused on the development of actions to increase the transparency and sustainability of the Brazilian power sector. He is currently involved in a project aimed at evaluating how regulation must be adapted in the light of rapid expansion of distributed generation in Brazil. In addition to the regulatory approach, Felipe is also interested in new business models in this emerging environment.
Felipe completed his PhD in the Energy Graduate Programme at the University of São Paulo. During this period, in addition to devoting himself to academic activities, he participated in research and development projects with gas and power companies.
