Jephraim Manansala

Jephraim Manansala works as the Chief Data Scientist for the Energy Policy Team at the Institute for Climate and Sustainable Cities (ICSC), a climate and energy policy group based in the Philippines advancing climate-resilient and low carbon development locally, nationally, and internationally. He is currently working on the Clean, Affordable and Secure Energy for Southeast Asia (CASE) Project wherein he spearheads data-driven research and analysis toward an evidence-based energy transition in the Philippines. To date, Jephraim holds two Master's degrees: an MS in Data Science from the Asian Institute of Management where he graduated with Distinction, as well as an MS in Electrical Engineering with a specialization in Power Systems from the Mapúa Institute of Technology. During this EnerTracks Fellowship, he will be primarily focusing on the assessment of physical and regulatory initiatives to promote power system flexibility that will subsequently pave the way for higher variable renewable energy shares in the Philippine power system.
