Lira Ramadani
Technical Environmental Adviser to the Ministry of Environment and Spatial Planning at the United Nations Development Programme, Bielefeld University, Germany
Lira Ramadani is currently working as consultant at the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) where she’s engaged in the project “Healthier Kosovo”. Before joining UNDP Lira worked with BIRN Kosova as a Project Coordinator and Researcher where she was responsible for coordinating the activities of an environmental and energy project as well as writing pieces and conducting research regarding the most pressing issues in the environment and energy domain in Kosovo.
She also worked as a volunteer and intern in different civil society organizations and government institutions in the environmental field, such as: Kosovo Environmental Protection Agency, Institute for Development Policy and Connecting Natural Values and People.
Lira completed her Master’s Degree in Environmental Policy and Sustainability Management at The New School in New York where she also worked as a Teaching Assistant for Quantitative Methods. Moreover, she completed her Bachelor’s Degree in Environmental and Agricultural Management at the International Business College of Mitrovica. Simultaneously, she pursued her bachelor studies in English Language and Literature at the University of Prishtina, as a part-time student. Furthermore, she has attended an intensive professional programme on Sustainability Science at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT).
