Pamela Simamora is the research coordinator at the Institute for Essential Services Reform (IESR).
The research team at IESR produces studies in a range of topics such as renewable energy, low carbon transport, sustainable energy access, and green economy. These studies are used as the basis for advocacy to policymakers. In her role in leading this team, Pamela is directly involved in the day-to-day research activities.
Prior to joining IESR, Pamela was working as an engineer in the Oil and Gas industry. As she learned about climate change, she decided to leave the industry and pursue a Master's degree in Energy, Environmental & Chemical Engineering at Washington University, USA, where she studied renewable energy technologies and policies.
