Approaches to green transitions in Korea and Germany
Rebooting the future – greener and smarter ways forward (Agora partner event)
Event Recording
Hosted by Agora Energiewende, the Korea Foundation and the German Embassy in South Korea, the seminar brought together leading experts to discuss South Korea’s and Germany’s responses to climate change after the COVID-19 pandemic, as well as how to cooperate with one another to rebuild in a better and greener way in Korea and Germany. Considering the increasing importance of international solidarity and cooperation on climate and environmental issues during the global pandemic, we discussed strengthening solidarity in the international community for a green recovery after the pandemic.
Under the subtitle “Rebooting the future: greener and smarter ways forward”, dialogue participants from Korea and Germany shared best practices, explored innovative approaches, gained a deeper understanding of future challenges and opportunities, and seeked ways to enhance future cooperation by rebuilding toward a greener future in the post-COVID-19 era.
More specifically, the dialogue focused on:
- approaches to green transitions in Korea and Germany: similarities and differences
- technology for green growth in Korea and Germany
- sustainable futures: Korean-German cooperation on smart mobility
This online event was held in English providing Korean subtitles.
