Energy transition in the German power sector: state of affairs in 2019
A review of developments in 2019 and an outlook on 2020
Event Recording
Where do we stand with the German Energy Transition? Was 2019 a good year regarding climate protection? What were the main changes in the power sector compared to 2018? How high was electricity consumption in 2019? How did greenhouse gas emissions change in Germany?
Every year Agora Energiewende publishes an annual review on the state of affairs in the power sector and the energy transition. The annual review uses the latest statistical data to give an overview of the most important developments of the last year in the form of accessible diagrams and graphics. The main topics of the publication include energy consumption, electricity generation, electricity consumption, CO2 emissions and electricity prices.
The study was presented in a webinar by the authors, Frank Peter, Deputy Director at Agora Energiewende, and Fabian Hein, Analyst at Agora Energiewende.
In case you could not make it you can watch the recording of the webinar which you can find above or on our Youtube channel.
The webinar was held in English.
