New online presence for Agora Energiewende
From digital publications to an expanded Agorameter, the redesigned website of Agora Energiewende aims to improve and simplify access to the think tank's work on climate neutrality.
The redesigned Agora Energiewende website provides users with an intuitive online platform and easier access to the think tank’s work on the clean energy transition and the transformation to climate neutrality. Categorising content under six main topics – from scaling up renewable energy to hydrogen as well as buildings and heat transition – allows visitors to quickly find the information they are interested in.
To reflect Agora’s expanding international work, the website also puts a spotlight on the different regions and countries that the think tank works on, as well as partners with which it cooperates on the ground.
The website is interactive, making dashboards and tools more easily accessible and provides more advanced chart features and digital publication formats. The mobile-optimised approach allows users to access it smoothly from any digital device.
Along with the new website, Agora’s publications and graphics have also been redesigned. To structure the content on the website, publications are now organised under the main categories of reports and policy papers. Papers with an Agora contribution which have been published by partner organisations can be found under the category ‘partner publications’.
Flagship Agorameter with new features
The Agorameter, an online tool that visualises data about the German power mix, is one of the most visited sections of the Agora Energiewende website. With the redesign of the think tank’s website, this tool has been equipped with new features.
For example, users can obtain almost real-time information about the German power sector’s renewable energy share and CO2 emissions. Data can be selected in hourly, daily and monthly resolutions without limitations and can be easily downloaded in CSV files.
Agora Energiewende develops scientifically sound and politically feasible concepts for a successful pathway to climate neutrality – in Germany, Europe and internationally. The organisation focuses on overarching questions of climate policy and the decarbonisation of the power and buildings sector. As part of the Agora Think Tanks, Agora Energiewende works together with Agora Industry, Agora Agriculture, and sister think tank Agora Verkehrswende to advance climate neutrality across all key sectors. Agora Industry has launched a new website to bundle all topics and content of Agora’s work on the industrial transformation at www.agora-industry.org.
