Heat pumps are the key to climate neutrality in buildings
Insights from Germany

To achieve climate neutrality, a significant market ramp-up of heat pumps is necessary. The results of a study by the Öko-Institut and Fraunhofer ISE commissioned by Agora Energiewende show, which policy actions are needed. Using empirical evidence from Germany, they also show that heat pumps already have a technological and economic advantage over conventional oil and gas boilers.
