Ernst Kuneman

Ernst works as Project Manager on power system transformations in Southeast Asia. His work revolves around electricity market design, energy policy, and the integration of renewable energy sources. Based in Bangkok, Ernst collaborates with regional partners, government stakeholders, and industry to assess opportunities for market reform and expedite the shift towards renewables-based electricity systems.  

Prior to joining Agora Energiewende in 2022, Ernst worked as a project manager at adelphi and the International Carbon Action Partnership in Berlin. Before that, he was with the International Energy Agency in Paris and the Clingendael Institute in The Hague. Ernst graduated from the International Energy master’s programme at Sciences Po (Paris), and he holds an M.Sc. in International Relations from the University of Amsterdam.
