Mathis Rogner
Project Lead Southeast Asia
Mathis Rogner has been part of Agora Energiewende since January 2020. His work focuses mainly on Southeast Asian contexts and working with local partners and stakeholders to advance the energy transition across the region. Before joining Agora, Mathis worked with the International Hydropower Association, where he operated at the interface between industry, academia, financing institutions and governments to promote sustainable hydropower development. Previously, while working at the International Institute for Applied Systems Analysis (IIASA), he helped coordinate the production of major assessment reports such as the Global Energy Assessment and the Österreichischer Sachstandsbericht Klimawandel.
Mathis holds a M.Sc. from the Centre for Environmental Policy at Imperial College London and originally studied Chemistry at McGill University in Montreal, Canada.
